Netflix’s Extraction 2 Movie Review: Story
Tyler Rake triumphed over death and endured a bloody battle in Bangladesh. Now enjoying his retirement in Austria, he is abruptly lured into a mission to free the sister of his wife and her two children from a Georgian prison by an unidentified stranger. Rake now has an unknowable reason to risk his life because of a new purpose and a personal one.
Extraction 2 Movie Review: Star Performance
Tyler Rake, played by Chris Hemsworth, is now widely recognized in this role. The actor is a famous action star, and his personality greatly enhances that side of who he is. In the scenes in between the action sequences, Chris tries to demonstrate his acting talent. as he is looking for forgiveness, lamenting over his slain son, and reflecting on his choice to always battle death. But the story never affords him enough time to sit and let the feelings entirely consume him and the audience. He receives redemption in the form of one poorly executed scene with Mia near the end, which is a crime not only towards Rake but also the devoted audience.
